The Department of Earth Sciences offers four Master’s degree programmes covering a broad range of Earth Science topics.

Master in Earth Sciences

The Master's degree programme in Earth Sciences aims to enable students to handle complex problems and develop a broad range of skills. The educational path is defined by choosing one of four specialisations (majors).

Specialised Master in Space Systems

The new Specialised Master in Space Systems is an important milestone on the way to taking space science to a higher level at ETH, in Switzerland, and in Europe. The educational path is defined by choosing one of five deep tracks (specialisations).

Specialised Master in Atmospheric and Climate Science

The Specialised Master in Atmospheric and Climate Science is designed to provide an in-depth understanding of climate processes and their interactions – ranging from the molecular to the global scale and from short-lived phenomena to changes over millions of years.

Joint Master in Applied Geophysics

The Joint Master in Applied Geophysics is a two-year joint degree programme offered by three of Europe's leading science and technology institutions.
