Master's degree graduation ceremony 2018
Congratulations to our successful students!
At this year’s Master’s degree graduation ceremony, 44 graduates received their degrees in Earth Sciences and 15 graduates in Atmospheric and Climate Science. 35 graduates successfully finished the Applied Geophysics programme in August 2018.
Head of Department Prof. Timothy Eglinton hosted the Master’s ceremony.
This year’s guest speaker Andreas Gebhardt sees the world through the juggler’s eyes. He talked about “What would I be without mistakes?”.
Awards
The awards were presented by the Director of Studies Prof. Maria Schönbächler:
The Willi Studer Prize 2018 for the outstanding student of the year was awarded to Cyrill Bösch.
The ETH medal for the best Master’s thesis in Earth Sciences went to Anna Gülcher (supervisor: Prof. Taras Gerya).
The ETH medal for the best Master’s thesis in Atmospheric and Climate Science went to Joel Zeder (supervisor: Dr. Erich Fischer).
The SGEB-Master-Award 2018 for an outstanding Master’s thesis went to Stefanie Almazan Delfini (supervisor: Dr. Kerry Leith).
